Band Series: No. 4 - The Reckless Famous

Working with artists that have a clear vision and directness to what they want is always a pleasure. With The Reckless Famous, it was previous urban alley shots of mine that had caught their eye and they wanted to incorporate smoke grenades into that mix. After some back and forth settling on a date that worked for everyone, we pin-pointed a meeting spot and got to work.

The smoke grenades were fun and quite unpredictable.  This was my first attempt with them and I really needed to be on my toes and ready to scramble before releasing the smoke. That element of surprise definitely adds to the excitement and experience though! We did practice through a couple of test scenarios in case the smoke did not cooperate and good thing too as we had to resort to some backup plans on a few occasions. Overall, the smoke adds a neat aesthetic to the images, looks great for band promos, and it's fun to use.  Just be prepared to move around the smoke for the best results!
